Needed To Get This Off My Chest
Hi everyone,
Normally I'd never write this kind of journal, and it may seem like I'm a little behind the times, but I felt that I needed to get this off my chest.
I'm sure everybody's been reading the news about the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor and the outpouring of rage caused by them. I feel so... angry, upset and frustrated that once again, innocent lives have been taken because of police brutality. Once again, more names have been added to the list of people who've lost their lives because police officers went too far or didn't do the right thing.
I cannot begin to imagine the pain George and Breonna's families must be going through right now, to know that their family members died in such horrific ways. I feel angry that two people had their futures snatched away.
What will it take for us to open our eyes to see that this is not okay?
How many more people have to lose their lives before someone has the courage to say "Enough."?
What kind of example are we setting to the next generation that this is how we are supposed to treat each other?
When are we going to look at ourselves and realise that we need to make a change?
Make your voice heard. Don't stay silent. Give support however you can, even if it's just raising awareness.

Hmm... I love a good old steak

Ice cream floaters! I know they're not exactly healthy, but they're just so... frothy and yummy... But, I digress!

*smiles gently* My boyfriend's called Aidan Briant. Just... Don't judge him for how he looks, okay?

Only Aidan. It's a little awkward because of the the wolf teeth, but we manage!
7) Do you have a childhood sweetheart?
Never really had a sweetheart until Aidan came into my life. My dad's in the army so I pretty much had to move around because of his work.

How many can I choose from? I've got tons! *laughs*
9) What is your biggest fear?
My biggest fear is that I might end up getting the same illness as my mum...
10) Any siblings?
Hmm... I think my dad mentioned I have a half-brother, but I haven't had the chance to meet him.
11) Who is your worst enemy?
*sighs* Depends on what you mean by enemy. I feel uncomfortable near Aidan's master, Boris. But I keep it to myself because Aidan's devoted to him.

Do cousins count? Because I have my cousins Jayni and Carissa! I wonder how they're doing?
13) What would you do if you met your creator?
I figure we'd hang out and drink ice cream floaters.
14) What do you want to be when you're grown up?
I want to be a doctor. I want to help others who need the most help; the mentally ill.
15) What is your worst nightmare?
Aidan and I are forced to be apart from each other... If anything were to happen to him, I... *clears throat* Next question, please.
16) What is your lifelong dream?
I want to create a place where those who are mentally ill don't feel afraid to talk about what they're going through.

Work hard to keep it alive!

Long Overdue Update
How long has it been since I updated this?! Oh well, time for a long overdue update.
First the bad news;
Today (10/01), we sadly lost my granddad. He'd been back in the hospital after his leg swelled up from an old break he'd got months back, but over the last few days his health got worse - including swelling in the stomach. I visited him on Monday with my parents, and to say it was heartbreaking seeing him looking so frail is an understatement.
Earlier this evening, my dad had gotten a call from my aunt saying that his breathing and pulse were getting worse and he'd headed off to the station to catch a train. Unfortunately, he was still waiting for the train when we got the call from my aunt saying Granddad had passed away and my mum had the task to call Dad to tell him the bad news. So, he's gone to give my aunt support.
Now for the good news;
I've got a job!! I started work with Poundland back in March (for those who don't know about them, they mostly specialize in selling stuff for a pound) Primarily I work on weekends, but over Christmas we were crazy busy! So, things are looking a little brighter for me employment wise.
