The Legend of Fa Kai 2-3Soon, Kai and Hilary were on their way to the Imperial Palace. “Kai, can ya smooth the ride? I’m getting horse-sick!!” Brooklyn groaned, his face turning a little green.

“What’re you doing here, Brooklyn?” Kai asked.

“Wherever you go, I go! Teamwork’s not about ego, it’s we-go!” Brooklyn beamed. Another face popped up. “Cri-Kee, what’re you doing here?!” he exclaimed. Kai laughed. Cri-Kee chirped. “Protecting Kai from me?? I’m his guardian!” he cried. The little cricket chirped again. “Yeah, yeah, you’re his lucky guardian.

The Legend of Fa Kai 2-2In the garden, Kai sat down on a bench under one of the trees. Hilary knelt before him and said something to him. He let out a yell of joy and flung himself onto her. “He said yes!” Grandpa beamed.

Susumu started to cry tears of happiness. “When one’s heart is filled with joy, some of it may spill from the eyes.” Eliza smiled, putting her hand on his shoulder.

“You can say that again! I win!” Grandpa grinned, holding a bag of coins.

“You proposed that she would propose before the sun sets. I bet that she’d propose before noon.” Eliza replied, bursting his bubble.

Here's the second of the two pics for Naomi at the Masquerade Ball for

This one has Naomi dancing with her boyfriend Aidan. I had to use *SMIFFYizDAbest's pic of Aidan and Tari at the ball to draw Aidan's suit. For inspiration, I decided to listen to I See The Light from Tangled and started to imagine the couple as Rapunzel and Eugene/Flynn. (Warning, long description below!)

Aidan sat alone while his father was off getting a drink. He was feeling bad about what had happened with Tari, but she had moved on, and so had he. He sighed, wishing Naomi hadn't been caught up with other business. Suddenly, the sound of someone clearing their throat snapped him out of his thoughts. He turned and was surprised to see who was standing behind him. "Naomi?" he blinked.

"Hi." she smiled. She was wearing a white dress with red heels. Around her neck was her silver dragon necklace. On her ears, she wore silver teardrop style earrings. Her hair was past her shoulders with a hair clasp securing it, and on her face, she wore a mask that reminded Aidan of her bitbeast, Victoria.

"What're you doing here? I thought you were busy tonight?" he began, unable to express how happy he was to see her.

"I finished my work early, plus I was feeling a little lonely without you." she replied, blushing a little.

"I'm glad to hear that. You look..." he began, taking in how she looked.

"I look...what?" she asked.

"Beautiful." he finished.

"Thanks. My dad had to help with my mask. He took the night off just to take me to the ball." she beamed. She then sensed something was on his mind. "Is something wrong?" she asked.

"No. Everything's fine." he replied, trying not to think about the situation with Tari.

"Aidan...I can see it in your eyes. You're troubled about something, aren't you?" she asked.

Aidan knew he had been caught. Naomi was always able to tell what he was thinking. "Alright...I guess I can't hide it from you..." he sighed, and started to tell her what happened with Tari. As soon as he was finished, Aidan waited for Naomi to react, fearing she'd be hurt that he was talking to his ex, but her expression became one of understanding.

"It's OK, Aidan. I can understand why she reacted like that. She still cares about you, and you two didn't exactly end on good terms. It's perfectly natural for her to feel conflicted about this whole thing." she replied.

"You're not mad I talked to her?" he blinked, surprised at her reaction.

"Why would I be mad? I don't mind if you talked to her. It'll take her time to heal from what happened between you two, but she'll get there." Naomi shrugged.

"That's good to hear." he smiled, relieved.

"Now, I believe that this is a ball, and at balls, couples are meant to dance." she smirked, hinting at what she wanted to do.

"Well, would you like to dance?" he asked, offering his hand.

"Of course." she smiled, taking his hand.

As they danced, the song I See The Light played. Naomi danced close to Aidan, wishing that this night woul last forever. After the song finished, she looked up at Aidan. "I love you." she smiled.

"I love you too." he smiled back, leaning in and kissing her tenderly.

That's an awesome pic. They look so sweet together and I love the song. You did a great job with Aidan and Naomi too. Though Aidan's mask was supposed to go over his nose but other than that it's good.
